Aiming for a Prolonged Career

At the age of 30, and with a recent move to Bayern Munich, Kane believes he is in the prime of his football career. He draws inspiration from legendary players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, who are still performing at the highest level well into their thirties and beyond. Kane aspires to play at the top level for another eight or nine years.

Longevity in the Game

He mentioned, “I am aiming to still be around by then, but of course, it is still a few years away, but I am a player who, at the moment, feels as good as I have ever felt before, and yes, I would like to think my career will go into my late thirties – at least.”

Second Half of the Career

Harry Kane explains, “The perception in sport or football in general is you hit 30 and people start to think [it’s] the end. But the way I am looking at it is that I almost have the second half of my career. I played in the first team at Spurs from 20 or 21, so I have had nine or 10 years at the highest level, and I am hoping for another eight or nine years at the highest level again.”

The visitors returned to winning ways after six games last week, as goals from Teden Mengi and Jacob Brown helped them record a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace. Following just their second win of the season, they opened up a four-point gap between them and 18th-placed Sheffield United.
