Barcelona Set to Part Ways with Ansu Fati Amid Premier League Interest
Ansu Fati’s loan spell at Brighton raises questions about his Barcelona future, with Premier League clubs keeping a close eye on developments.
Barcelona Eyes Permanent Transfer or Swap Deal for Fati
FC Barcelona is reportedly looking to part ways with loanee Ansu Fati next summer, with Brighton and several Premier League clubs closely monitoring the young talent.
Surprise Loan Move to Brighton
Ansu Fati’s loan transfer to Brighton was one of the summer’s unexpected moves. Despite starting only 12 times in La Liga last season, Fati initially expressed his desire to remain at Barcelona.
However, as the summer transfer window progressed, it became evident that a loan move away from the La Liga giants was imminent, with Liverpool and Tottenham also showing interest.
Early Impression at Brighton
While Fati is yet to start for Brighton in the Premier League, he marked his presence with a goal during their 6-1 loss to Aston Villa. This promising start has not deterred Barcelona from planning for a future without him.
Barcelona’s Transfer Plans
Spanish outlet Sport reports that Barcelona intends to “seek a definitive transfer” for Fati next year. They have made it clear that they are willing to part ways with the player if a suitable offer arises.
Previously, Fati had declined a move to Wolves in a swap deal involving Ruben Neves, which broke down at the last minute. Barcelona’s current plan is to either permanently sell Fati or include him in an exchange deal next summer.
Interest from Premier League Clubs
Several Premier League clubs are closely monitoring Fati’s progress, viewing him as a potential market opportunity due to Barcelona’s need to sell. Atletico Madrid has also shown interest, and a possible exchange involving Joao Felix may be on the table, with Jorge Mendes overseeing the operations.
Managing Fati’s Playing Time
Brighton’s manager, De Zerbi, is being cautious in managing Fati’s playing time, particularly after his recent 45-minute appearance against Bournemouth. Fati’s limited game time is part of a strategy to ensure his fitness and readiness for upcoming important fixtures.
De Zerbi explained, “Ansu in the last period didn’t play so many games. If I play 90 minutes with him, it is a big risk for him and for us.”
Brighton and Fati’s future will undoubtedly continue to be closely watched in the coming months as transfer speculation intensifies.

AC Milan vs Frosinone Head-to-Head and Key Numbers

- American winger Christian Pulisic has managed six goal contributions in 10 league starts for AC Milan this season.

- Argentine winger Matias Soule has managed seven goal contributions in 11 league starts for Frosinone this season.

AC Milan vs Frosinone Prediction
AC Milan are currently 3rd in the league, and have won only one of their last five league games. They find themselves six points behind league leaders Inter Milan. It has been a season of inconsistency for the club, with their current form not doing manager Stefano Pioli any favours. The 37-year old Olivier Giroud continues to lead the line admirably, and has proven to be a surprisingly dependable goalkeeping option if needed as well. However, Giroud is at an age where dependency on him should be lessening, but in AC Milan’s case, it seems to have increased this season.
Frosinone, on the other hand, are 10th in the league, and have won two of their last five league games. Argentine winger Matias Soule has proven to be one of the best young players in the league so far, and parent club Juventus will be keeping a keen eye on his development. It has been suggested that Juventus could recall the 20-year old after an excellent start to his league campaign.
AC Milan need to get back to winning ways, and should emerge victorious here.
Prediction: AC Milan 2-0 Frosinone
